Description
Tabi is a surreal cut‑out (kiri‑gami) animation that follows a young girl’s physical journey, which also serves as an inner voyage where she learns the pains and joys of life. She travels to an unnamed Western city and a bizarre dreamscape filled with elements inspired by the works of Dali, Magritte, de Chirico, and Escher. The journey transforms her completely, and when she returns she is the only one who knows how she has changed. The film features a poem by the renowned Chinese poet Su Tong‑Po.
