Description
The film opens with the Phoenix recounting Astro Boy’s stories and hopes, using many scenes directly taken from the 1980s television series to recap several of his adventures. After this, Astro Boy confronts Blue Bon and attempts to persuade him to reconsider his view of humans. Blue Bon interprets Astro Boy’s refusal as hostility, believing that disagreement equates to enmity. His hatred of humans stems from their role in tearing apart his family, Maria and Tonto. When Astro Boy cannot convince Blue Bon that they are not enemies, a battle erupts between them.
