Description
Three episodes from the Astro Boy television series were selected for a theatrical re‑edition: “Robot Rocket” (episode 46), “Earth Defense Troops” (episode 56), and “The Last Day of Earth” (episode 71). Of these, only “Earth Defense Troops” was originally adapted from Tezuka Osamu’s story “Number 7,” with its setting redirected to the Astro Boy narrative. In the film, the entire “Earth Defense Troops” sequence and part of “The Last Day of Earth” were remastered in color for the theater release.
