Description
Mahjong is a game often played with family and friends, yet it also thrives in the darkest corners of society. Nangou, a compulsive gambler who has accrued a debt exceeding three million yen, makes a last‑ditch attempt to clear his record by wagering his life on a game of mahjong against the mafia. As the game progresses, Nangou moves farther from victory and closer to death. When all hope seems lost, the game parlor is suddenly intruded upon by Shigeru Akagi, a young boy on the run from the police.
