Long, long ago two brothers lived in harmony: the older, Umihiko, spent his days fishing in the sea, while his younger sibling, Yamahiko, roamed the mountains hunting birds and beasts. One day, Yamahiko suggested, “Let’s trade places, I'll give you my bow and arrows for your fishing gear.” After some convincing, Umihiko agreed. The next day proved disastrous: both brothers, untrained in their new roles, failed. Umihiko injured his arm, and Yamahiko lost the fishing hook that was his prized possession. Enraged that his trade had ruined his livelihood, Umihiko vowed never to fish again with the same skill he once had. Determined to right his wrong, Yamahiko now seeks redemption.
