In a distant future it is widely believed that wolves have been extinct for 200 years. In reality, wolves have not vanished; they have taken human form. Kiba, a lone wolf, wanders into a city in search of the scent of Lunar Flowers, which are said to guide those who follow them to paradise. The source of the scent is Cheza, a girl who sleeps in suspended animation inside a laboratory. Drawn together, Kiba hopes that finding Cheza will lead him to paradise. However, when he finally locates her, she is kidnapped by a mysterious figure named Darcia, forcing Kiba to resume his search. Before leaving the city, he meets three other companions…
