Description
Wu Kong Dazhan Er Lang Shen draws from the early chapters of the classic fantasy novel *Journey to the West*. It chronicles the Monkey King’s rebellion against Heaven and his brutal confrontation with Er Lang Shen, the nephew of the Jade Emperor who governs the heavens. About thirty percent of the film is performed with live‑action puppetry, while the remaining scenes feature animated 3D backgrounds and characters. The feature received a nomination for Best Animated Feature Film at the inaugural Asia Pacific Screen Awards.
