Description

This animated adaptation brings Yanase Takashi’s picture book to life, telling the touching story of a mother dog, Muku‑muku, who has lost her puppy, and a baby lion, Buru‑buru, who has lost her mother. Although Tezuka Osamu had envisioned a full musical animated series centered on the emotions of the two animals, the only production that was ever completed remained unfinished. In 1998, a revised version was produced, featuring altered dialogue, new voice actors, and a modified final scene.
