Kazuhiro Uchida is transferred to a rescue center in a small town while he is training to become a fighter pilot. At first, he views his new role with skepticism, finding the missions to be difficult and the discipline imposed by his seniors to be harsh. As his training progresses, however, he comes to accept the nature of the job and ultimately becomes a dedicated member of the rescue force.
