As the centerpiece of its anniversary celebration, Sunrise revealed a stunning crossover visual titled “Jump, Fly, Soar! Another 50 Years of Creation!”. Directed and conceptualized by Ryosuke Takahashi, the artwork brings together characters from across Sunrise’s vast catalog.

The illustration features heroes and icons from franchises such as Mobile Suit Gundam, Cowboy Bebop, Armored Trooper Votoms, City Hunter, Inuyasha and Gintama. Classic and modern characters stand side by side, symbolizing the studio’s enduring creativity and influence across generations.

New Anime Projects Planned for 2026

  • Ronin Warriors Sequel: A long-awaited continuation of the classic Samurai Troopers series, bringing the iconic armored warriors back for a new generation.
     
  • Mao Anime Adaptation: A supernatural series based on Rumiko Takahashi’s manga Mao, blending mystery, action, and folklore from the legendary creator of Inuyasha.
     
  • Armored Trooper VOTOMS - Die Graue Hexe: A brand-new anime project set in the legendary VOTOMS universe. Announced as part of Sunrise’s 50th-anniversary celebration, this new entry is not a remake but an original story, marking the return of one of Sunrise’s most influential real-robot franchises.
