The Mach is a racing car powered by a newly developed “X” engine, designed and built by Kenich Hibiki, a racing driver and motor engineer. During a pre‑completion test drive, Kenich was involved in an accident that led to his presumed death. His father, Daisuke, who had been watching the test drive, salvaged the wrecked vehicle as a memento of his son. Years later, Daisuke rebuilds the damaged car, reviving it as the new Mach to compete in the Grand Prix. To protect the driver from potential accidents, the updated car incorporates a safety system named “Safety Seven,” featuring seven protective devices, and still houses the powerful “X” engine.
