Description
Everyone is connected. There is the physical world, filled with people, tactile sensations, and culture. There is also the wired world inside computers, comprised of images, personalities, virtual experiences, and its own distinct culture. The day after a classmate commits suicide, 14‑year‑old Lain discovers how closely these two worlds are linked when she receives an email from the dead girl: “I just abandoned my body. I still live here.” Does the line between reality and the wired world begin to blur?
