Shui Naodai

Description
In this dystopian tale, children are compelled to devote themselves endlessly to homework under the looming threat of monstrous beings that stalk them. Their brains contain water that heats under stress; when a child becomes overly anxious, the brain’s water boils, producing steam that serves as both sustenance for the ravenous monsters and the energy source for the entire city. As a result, these children live out their childhoods in a repetitive, tragic cycle, functioning as the world’s power plant. The story, titled *Shui Naodai*, is a graduation project by the Ani7ime team from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.
